Courthouse & Heritage Museum

This historical landmark features curated displays of local history, and of persons that built the Cardston community, as well as material culture of the Kainai, Blackfoot people who lived in this area long before the settlement of Cardston in 1887.

Charles & Zina Card Pioneer Home

The Card Pioneer Home was one of the first homes built on Lee Creek in 1887. The home demonstrates the original 14' x 14' cabin structure that was the beginning of all homes in the new settlement. It also shows additional construction and has history about the original families arriving in the new Lee Creek settlement, that became Cardston. There is something for all ages, including Pioneer children's games, magnificent quilts, stories of local First Nations leaders, and more. This Historic Site has many original artifacts and some great stories to inspire you!

Admission

General admission to the Card Home Museum is by donation.

July and August 2024, Monday through Friday, 10:30 am to 7:00 pm

Group Tours

The museums can be booked almost anytime they are not open to the public. Community and School Groups, Family Groups and individuals are welcome.

Fees

  • Family or Small Groups (E.G. 2 adults with children): $10

  • School Groups $3 per student ( leaders & chaperones free).

  • Youth Groups $3 per student (leaders & chaperones free).

    For School Programming in May and June: please check the schedule for the days the museum of your choice is open.
