Carriage House Theatre - Formerly Mayfair Theatre

November of 1912 was an exciting time for those in town when Cardston’s Mark Spencer built a large modern show house where the Carriage House Theater now stands. The Theater would be called “New Palace Theater” (changed in 1918 to “The Palace Theater”) and would change hands several times before being bought by the Brewerton Bros in 1927.

In 1937, after major renovations, the Theater was named “The Mayfair Theater” and kept that title for fifty-five years. In 1992, the latest incarnation of the Mayfair opened to the public under the name of “Carriage House Theater.”

People from all over the world have visited the theater to attend live productions; and the quality of family and community life within our region has been enriched with the “good family” entertainment that is offered by the foundation.
